Marketing & Communications Coordinator
Jasmyne Humble was born and raised in the City of Kankakee. Jasmyne takes great pride in her hometown. She graduated from Kankakee High School class of ’07 and obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast journalism from Illinois State University class of ’11. Jasmyne has a strong background in media and journalism. She currently serves as the Marketing and Communications Coordinator for the City of Kankakee and joined the team in August of 2019. Jasmyne worked as a full-time TV news reporter, producer and multimedia journalist for WTVO Channel 17 and WQRF Fox 39 in Rockford, Illinois, as well as, WSAW News Channel 7 in Wausau, Wisconsin. Jasmyne credits one of her biggest accomplishments as solo producing four hours of news content and entertainment daily as the senior morning producer for FOX 39 News in the Morning, a show she helped to develop. Although Jasmyne remains passionate about the evolving world of news and social media, it was always her goal to be closer to home. Growing up in Kankakee, her goal remains the same; to help advocate for positive change, give back, and continue to be a bridge of information, as well as a resource for her community.
