Kankakee United Violence Prevention Coordinator
Johnnie Graham-Wicks is the new Kankakee United Violence Prevention Coordinator for the City of Kankakee. Johnnie started her career in Education in 1997 as a Professional with Kankakee School District #111. While working Johnnie continued her own education at Kankakee Community College and then on to Olivet Nazarene University. After graduating from Olivet with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences & Hospitality Concentration in 2008, Johnnie also worked as a substitute Teacher with the District. She spent over 15 years in education at Kankakee School District #111, and continue to serve as visible parent for both her children who attended school in the Kankakee School District. You may even now see her helping at home games in the concession area.
Johnnie started her career with the City of Kankakee in 2018 at the Kankakee Public Library as a Youth Services assistant and then on to the Youth Services Outreach and Teen Lead.
Johnnie is a wife and mother to two young adults and plenty of additional children due to her children’s friends. Her and her family currently reside in Bourbonnais, after living in Kankakee for over 25years. She loves baking, cooking and really enjoys spending time with family and friends. She believes in prayer and knows it doesn’t matter what it looks like as long as you Trust Him!
