Kankakee, IL – Kankakee United is set to host a career exploration tonight on August 25, 2020. The presentation will take place at 5:30 p.m. in the fourth-floor auditorium in the Kankakee Public Library with guest speaker, Cydney Boyd, a Kankakee Community College career development counselor. Those interested are invited to come learn more about what career is right for them. Social distancing guidelines will apply.

“While the COVID-19 pandemic has presented its challenges, Kankakee United continues to remain active by providing virtual/in-person events. Therefore, I am extremely excited to partner with KCC’s Cydney Boyd for this month’s Career Exploration workshop. One of Kankakee United’s main goals is to expand employment opportunities and this event will assist participants in determining the best career paths for themselves,” said Kankakee United City Lead, Linh Williams.

“Kankakee United will continue to support youth leadership as they explore career opportunities and create a path for success in the workforce. I appreciate the partnership with Kankakee Community College which serves as a valuable resource in our community,” said Mayor Wells-Armstrong.
