Kankakee United is a public safety organization dedicated to addressing the root causes of gun violence and creating lasting solutions for the Kankakee community, especially our youth. By uniting community resources, we focus on trauma-informed care, removing barriers to employment, and empowering young people to take the lead in their futures.

Basketball After Hours wasn’t a total washout!

Even with the rain, several young men and women came out to hoop alongside Mr. Prude of Live Free Kankakee. Together, we turned a rainy night into a positive experience and were able to serve meals to over 30 young adults.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, played through the weather, and helped keep the energy alive!
